I painted Bubb for my family. She loves curling up in her cuddler while her people work at the computer.

Inspiration
Bubb is sweet and mild-mannered, and I wanted that to come through in her expression.
Artistic Process
I began with several sketches of Bubb. The biggest challenge was capturing the beautiful variations in her coat and matching the exact tint of her green eyes. I layered color over several days to build the fur, working with two filbert grainer brushes, and finished the whiskers with a white Micron pen.
- Brushes & tools: Filbert Grainers ¼", ½"; Round 2, Round 0; White Micron pen.
- Paints: Yellow Ochre, Ivory Black, Sap Green, Burnt Sienna, Titanium White, Alizarin Crimson.
Reflections
I still have two more cats to paint for them—Liam and Sean—and you’ll notice this piece remains unsigned.
